What To Wear: New Years Eve

Star Sequin Shift Dress Boohoo - Rock On Holly Blog

Heyyyy!! Massive internet hellos!!

I feel like it's been a while since I blogged (my last post went up over a week ago!) but I've been SERIOUSLY busy, celebrating my bday, getting engaged (more on that later!) and literally working ALL. OF. THE. TIME!!

We're finishing work on midday Tuesday (thank the lord) and I can't wait to take some time off and catch up with family and friends! This year, amazingly, I already have New Year already sorted - I'm heading to a house party thrown by some of my boyfriends fiancee's (so not used to that) friends! But that doesn't mean I'm going to slow down on the sparkle - No way!

This sequin shift dress from Boohoo is just NYE perfection.

The shape is a simple shift, and it could easily be worn by itself and with some killer heels. However, I decided to wear a white shirt underneath to give it some preppy vibes and cinch in the waist with a pattern-clashing, leopard print belt. This teamed with patent Primark heels, gives all kinds of textures, that I just, LOVE.

Tip: This Suedette, fringe bag can also be used as a clutch!! But throw it over your shoulder for when you hit the dance floor :-)

OOTD: Hey Girl

Hey Girl Dom And Ink Sweater

Ok, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't struggling to keep up with my blog at the moment...

Work has just been craaazy since the start of November and after a 12 hour day, the last thing that you feel like doing is switching on a laptop and editing photos! However, luckily, I managed to combine my blogging with my work (running Rock On Ruby Clothing) to for a photoshoot showcasing our HOT NEW Dom and Ink Collection!! Yesssss!!!!

The new stuff is literally so, so cool! I probably have half of it in my wardobe!

So, I wanted to show how you don't always have to style a slogan sweater with jeans - why not funk it up a bit?! I teamed my Hey Girl Sweater with this gorgeous suede, vintage, tassled skirt. You will NEVER guess how much this was??

£5. Yes, £5. And it is such good quality!

It's from the website Everything5Pounds (great name) and I chose it after being invited to a blogger event with them a few weeks ago. I was so, so impressed with the quality of everything I received, I couldn't wait to put some of it to good use on our ROR shoot!

Beauty: Vice Palette

Urban Decay Vice Eye Shadow Palette

Ok, let's talk Christmas presents...

You know that old saying, "what to buy for someone who has everything?" Well, for a beauty lover, you could probably update that to "What to buy for someone who has ALL the Urban Decay Naked palettes...??"

This, Ladies and Gentlemen, is the answer. The absolutely, stunningly beautiful, Vice 4 palette.

As soon as I saw it on their make up counter, I knew it was going on my wishlist! The packaging alone is so so cool and instagram-worthy...
Then there are the 20 gorgeously shimmery, highly pigmented shades inside...
Not to mention the matching, padded case that it all comes in!

My fave colour? Grasshopper! This gem of an eye shadow caught my eye immediately (excuse the pun) and I couldn't wait to add a zing of colour to my usual daytime look!

Why I LOVE it:

At £43 you may think that at first glance, this is more expensive than the Naked Palettes. But let's not forget that this gives you nearly twice as many shades inside.

Even though I adores my Smoky Palette, what I like about the Vice, is that it includes shades that can be used for both day and night. Whereas with my other palettes, I use Smoky for night and Naked for day!

It just looks cool. 'Nuff said! :-)

OOTD: UO Jackets

What the hell is this weather? SERIOUSLY? It's like Monsoon season up North at the moment! When's a girl gonna get her blog on??

Yeesh! I've been dying to get this coat on the blog for the past few weeks, but work and weather have really taken their toll! There seems to be like 1 hour of daylight at the moment - which is totally depressing... Luckily, I managed to grab these quick pics with my boyfriend as we headed out for a burger at one of my fave places (Solita) after working all day on a Sunday. Yup, that's right, working on a SUNDAY!

You may have seen me mention in my Bloggers Boyfriend post that the boy and I were heading off to Prague last weekend for a trip with some pals? Well, that plan got scuppered due to the craaaziness of work at the moment! We're literally working 12 hour days trying to get orders out for the Christmas rush! So, obvs, a burger was well and truly earnt!

Solita is quite a cool venue, so my Urban Outfitters coat was perfect as my overlayer of choice! I love this Peacoat style and the burgundy colour makes it just that bit different to the usual black, without being too "in your face red".

Urban Outfitters are currently running a campaign to show how bloggers across Europe style up their Winter Coat! I LOVE this idea - mainly as I am coat obsessed. But it's so cool to see how style varies across continents. See more on their instagram!

How stunning is this oversized, gemstone ring from Rebecca??

I've worn pieces from their range before - as seen in my London Fashion Week post. They are such good quality items, think Swarovski but with a more Italian flare! The colour of the stone is gorgeous and the rose gold setting is really classy.

My top pick for any Christmas wishlist this year!
