OOTD: Rebel Rebel

Rebel Rebel Elephant Jacket from Elsie and Fred - Rock On Holly

Ok, just HOW gorgeous is this jacket????

I'm in love with it! This beauty was a birthday gift that I got before Christmas, but I wanted to wait until (slightly) warmer weather before taking this out and about. The Rebel Rebel jacket is real leather and has that amazing vintage feel & smell to it. It's seriously good quality! But it's the design on the back that is the real showstopper... The back panel is completely embellished and features a stunning embroidered Elephant design.

The jacket is made by fashion brand Elsie and Fred and is also available to buy on Silk Fred. I'd definitely recommend checking out some of the fab denim jacket styles that they have online too - perfect for Spring Summer...

Sidenote: I'm dead chuffed to be able say that our very own Rock On Ruby designs are now available to buy from the Silk Fred site; so we are defs in good company with independents like Elsie and Fred!! Woop!

So. COOL!!

Glam Slam Beauty Game from Soap and Glory on the Rock On Holly Blog

The new additions to the Soap and Glory make up range include some essential pieces to update your make up look from Winter to Spring. Currently, matte red lips and matching matte skin are all the rage.. But as the days get lighter, we want our skin to be glowy and lips to be glossy. Also key, the perfect brows!

Glam Slam Beauty Game from Soap and Glory on the Rock On Holly Blog

In my Glam Slam Beauty Game, I received some cool items to get the PERFECT brow. Now, Soap and Glory seem to be realising the importance of giving good brow and have introduced a whole range of items to get yours looking like fab.

The Archery Brow crayon is a chunky pencil which allows you to shape and shade until you get the desired look.

The Brow Putty is a really clever thing as it includes a tapered brush at one end for precision shaping, and at the other a little dipping pot for topping up your colour. All stored in one handy pen!? Genius. AND if it couldn't get any better, it's smudgeproof!!!

Now let's move onto the the Glow All Out Highlight & Sculpt Cheek Stick. This is a gorgeous pale pale gold shade with stunning shimmer. It comes in a creamy formula which is easy to blend onto the skin. It's pretty versatile too so you could use this as a shimmery shadow to make your eyes sparkle too. If the pale gold, aint your thang, there are other shades in the range too. At just £8 each this little shimmer stick is a bargain, and something you could easily pop into your handbag to freshen up throughout the day.

You may recognise the Sexy Mother Pucker lipglosses as they've been an S&G fave for a while now. But this is a new shade that has been added to the range, so will not only give your lips a boost but will give a pretty colour too!

I haven't tried this shade yet, so I'll have to keep you posted on this one... But I do love a bright lip for Spring / Summer so I can't wait to give this a go :-)

OOTD: Can You Really Save Money In The Sales?

River Island Fur Jacket

So, everyone always says, to save money, you should unsubscribe from all your shopping emails... I disagree. Yeah ok, the ones that scream "New In! Buy Me Now!" Aren't going to help your bank balance, but I think if you're a savvy shopper, you can actually save money?!

(Bear with me whilst I try and justify this...)

For example, I recently got the *River Island Flash Sale* email and as a result, I picked up this gorge Rust coloured, wool blend coat (£45) and a couple of pairs of boots. Did I need the coat? No. Will I wear it? Absolutely. Would I have bought it at full price? (£90) Definitely not.

But, I have seen this rust brown colour on a few colour trend charts for AW16, so I can wear this now whilst it's cold and wintery and also next AW!

Similarly, these boots that I'm wearing now, I picked up in the RI Sales this time last year. At the time, we were heading into Spring and it was unlikely that I would need black leather boots... However, 6 months later, and I wear these boots ALL. THE. TIME. RRP around £75, I paid around £35 - a huge saving!

With London Fashion Week in full swing, now is a great time of year to be looking ahead at the next trends.

This stunning Fiorelli bag was a birthday present and this was the first time that I had used it. It's deceptively spacious and amazing quality. I can fit my camera, purse, make up bag and keys in (although it is a bit snug!) I'll definitely be checking out Fiorelli for other items (maybe a new matching purse!?)

Beauty: Destressing with Aveda

Destressing with Aveda

One of the most amazing things about moving into our new place is that it has a BATH. An actual tub!

We've never had a bath at home as my parents have always preferred a spacious, walk in shower  - much more convenient and practical in the modern day! However, you can't beat the luxury of a bath! Whenever we go away or stay at a hotel, eg Iceland! I would always find having a long soak a real treat :-)

So, finally getting a tub of my own has opened up my eyes to a whole new world of bath time products! I splashed out on some gorge Molton Brown products - that I told the boyf would be reserved for guests (and me...!) only!

Destressing with Aveda

Tips on how to have THE most relaxing bath:

1. LEAVE your phone in another room!! Not only would you be gutted if your iPhone 6S also decided to have a dip under the bubbles, but you can't truly switch off if your phone is with you.

2. Light some candles - for relaxing aromatherapy and mood lighting! We have a huge vanilla candle in our bathroom which I find smells lovely, without being over powering.

3. Add some luxury body wash to your bath for a soothing soak!

4. RELAX. (This one might be harder than you think...)

5. Carry on that relaxing feeling after your bath by massaging some Stress Fix body lotion by Aveda into your skin

Destressing with Aveda

This stuff is absolutely gorgeous. The perfect way to finish unwinding after a stressful day! The stress fix body lotion is hydrating and also has an aroma that aims to relieve feelings of stress. It's Aroma includes essences of lavender and clary sage from organic farms and is formulated using pure essential oils. I really like this! At £27, it is quite pricey for a body lotion, but I think it would make a nice pressie (maybe for Mother's Day?) and there are other items in the range that you could match with this.

For something a bit lighter, you could always try the Beautifying body moisturiser which also has a lovely lavender scent and includes shea butter for a truly nourishing feel. This is probably my fave out of the two as I find it slightly easier to apply - and it's more affordable at £22! WIN.

Introducing Marcie by Panache

Panache Lingerie Black Underwear

As a fashion blogger, a lot of our images and style posts are focused on trends and style ideas. But, the most important part of any outfit has to be what you wear underneath... The underwear.

Before Christmas I was lucky enough to win some sets of underwear from Panache - an underwear brand that focuses on providing, beautiful lingerie that not only looks good, but fits well too. Since then, I have to admit, I have become a total Cleo Girl! Panache have several ranges but the Cleo collection is fun, flirty, colourful and still carries through that important Panache's quality & fit.

In the pic above you can see my growing collection, which includes the Mimi, Riley and Marcie sets. But, as today is Valentine's day, I wanted to give you a closer look at the most luxurious style in the Cleo range by Panache - the Marcie set in black.

Panache Lingerie Marcie Black Underwear

I have this thing about matching underwear. I always always like to match, even if it's just a simple black set. But this Marcie style, is absolutely lovely. With embroidered detail, cute bows and an all over polka dot, it has a deluxe feel to it but is still completely comfortable for every day use.

Although aimed for larger busts (the range starts from a D cup) this doesn't mean that the sets compromise on style. As a petite girl (I'm a 30D in this range) I don't like my underwear to have big thick support straps. That's why the stylish, Cleo range is my go-to pick from Panache.

OOTD: Meet Old Harry

Old Harry on The Rock On Holly Fashion BLog

How stunning is Tatton Park? I love that this stately home is only about half an hour away from where I live. It's so nice to get out of the city sometimes and get some "fresh air"! When we went for the day, we were lucky to get to see some of the beautiful Deer that roam around the grounds of the house.

The weather was bright and clear so I was able to make the most of my Olympus camera with new 50mm lens! This outfit is one of my go-to looks at the moment. You can't go wrong with a jumper and jeans...

This snuggly knit is from a new brand that I have recently discovered - Old Harry. They are a knitwear company inspired by the British seaside. I love the feel and quality of the brand, they are big believers in doing one thing, and doing it well. And that, they have truly succeeded in. The jumpers make a truly lovely gift as they come wrapped beautifully and in a chic white box.

Style guide: I chose a size XS in Grey and it fits well. For a more relaxed look, I would probably go for a size Small.

OOTD: New Season inspo

New season inspiration on the Rock On Holly Fashion Blog

So, we had this conversation today at work where we talked about our current wardrobe situation, and I confessed that my wardrobe is preeeetty miserable. Like, seriously, there are literally 3 colours in there - navy, black and grey. (Or maybe even just black and grey...)

But yesterday I tried on this super cool, yellow shirt from ASOS, and G'ham just looked at me and said, "You look like your mum". **Which I must stress, is not a bad thing, as Mother Debs is super stylish and will be featuring on this very blog, very soon** However, obviously I want to look like me? Even when wearing colour?!

So how to do this?

Tip 1: I think the trick is to think about your colour palette. For me, it's very very rare that I would wear pink. It just doesn't appeal to my grungy self at all. However... the dusky pink tone of this beautiful top from Ark is muted enough to add colour to my wardrobe but still blend well with my existing black, grey and navy items :)

Tip 2: Another trick is to add colour through your accessories! This super shiny bag from the amazing Skinny Dip shimmers all kinds of pink, and I love it. FYI, this was a pressie from my mum. I told you she was cool.

Just to let you know, despite not suiting me in particular, the ASOS shirt was actually really cool... a great vintage, thick shirt - and only £30!

Also, Ark currently have 30% off their site as they are having a massive clearance Sale, so bag some bargains whilst you can....
