Sale Picks - Topshop Jeans

Topshop Jeans

It's my FAVE time of year! Nope, not Christmas (although, obvs, that's up there) it's The Summer Sales!! Woop woop! Timed perfectly to start when actual Summer begins, and not when the shops think it should begin (who wants a bikini in March?!) I often pick up some of my best buys in the Summer Sales.

For example, check out my new jeans haul above. Each of these bad boys should have been at least £40 each, totalling a whopping £240. However, thanks to the Topshop sale, these 6 pairs set me back just £107. Ah-mazing! I've often declared my love for Topshop Mom jean and these gingham style jeans are a total bargain at £15. I know they will be fab with sliders and a simple, white cotton vest this Summer.

Apart from seasonal pieces like the Gingham pants, the sales are a great time to stock up on the classics that will work with your wardrobe all year round. The Leigh jeans (second from the top) are THE comfiest skinny jeans EVER!! If you can find a pair of these in your size, I would highly recommend these. The ankle length is very on trend right now.

A cool pair of black skinnies will never go out of fashion - I picked up the Baxter for my skinny jean fit and the Lucas for a more relaxed style (I love the distressed knees on these)

I've rounded up some of the big denim bargains below - which style would you go for?

Are you a fan of Topshop denim or do you have any other recommendations?

OOTD: Boho Summer Styling

Boho outfit featuring BHS and River Island Tan Boots - Rock On Holly

WHAT is this weather, really??

From scorching hot Summer days, to torrential rain... It is SO hard to know what to wear at the moment! This look is one I pulled together a few weeks ago when the weather was just starting to get a bit warmer. The lightweight boho tunic top is from BHS -  I was quite sad to see that this store has gone into administration recently as this was such a long standing British brand. (My sister and I used to spend hours in there as kids, trawling behind as our mum shopped!)

The BHS SS16 collection looked especially good this year, so it's a real shame that this will be their last. This tunic is a really good quality top and I know it will work great thrown on with shorts and ankle boots in Summer. I'd definitely recommend heading over to their site to see what bargains you can pick up online...

I have to point out my RI tan boots that I picked up in the Sale. Aren't they just BEAUT!? I really wish I'd picked up the Burgundy version as well now as I think these will look so good in Autumn with Boho dresses.

Since these pics have been taken, I have actually been and had my hair cut in preparation for my Canadian Road Trip next week! It hadn't been touched since I went to Ethos Hairdressing in April to try out their Watercolour shades!! So it was in desperate need of a good cut. I'll share this on my instagram with you very soon :-) I would love to get this Rose Gold shade done again though, so watch this space...

OOTD: Wasted Youth

Wasted Youth Missguided Tshirt and Clarks Ankle Boots

So, this may seem like a bit of a festival look, but actually, for the first time in forever, I don;t have any festivals lined up for this Summer (but, never say never!!) This look is one that I have thrown together in preparation for my 'Big Canadian Road Trip' this Summer! I may have mentioned this on the blog before? But I'm SO excited to be heading across the water for 3 weeks this Summer! G'Ham and I are road trippin' from Vancouver to Toronto, with plenty of stops along the way - including the world famous, Clagary Stampede! (OMG OMG!)

This casual Tee dress from Missguided will be the perfect thing to wear on a hot Canadian day! I love the Rock Chick "band tee" feel to this and it should be super comfy to wear whilst we're driving through the Rockies!

It should be pretty hot whilst we're out there, so of course I had to invest in some new Sunnies! These mirrored beauts are from Quay Australia and are really good quality. I'm hoping that this khaki cap from ASOS will be a handy cover up on scorching days and will be pretty easy to pack and take away with me. Plus it was only £8!?? Bargain.

The real "piece de resistance" for this outfit, HAS to be these stunning, leather ankle boots from Clarks at The Hut! Yes, you read that right! The Hut site, has added to it's wide range of amazing brands by stocking the classic, Clarks Shoes in their online store.

I love that The Hut only stocks great quality pieces and you can really see that with these boots. They arrived in the most beautiful white box, and as soon as I lifted the lid, I could smell the leather material. They really are amazing quality, great fit and a classic style. I think these will see me throughout Summer to Winter, year in, year out - and for £80 with free next day delivery? That's not bad!

Beauty: Diamond Straighteners

Irresistible Me Diamond Hair Straighteners

I would be the first to admit that I am useless with hair... That quote that says "I have 3 hair styles - Straight, Curly and Greasy" is totally made for me! So, anything that makes life a bit easier in the hair department is a must-have.

Like any girl, I have a dresser full of products, hair tools and accessories to help my daily bed head! (This Oribe spray is absolutely one of my all time faves). So I was pretty intrigued to trial these diamond straighteners from Irresistible Me - a US brand with rave reviews on Amazon.

The straighteners arrived quickly and were well packaged. The main things that really struck me when I was using these were how solid they were. Some straighteners can feel quite lightweight and although these look like they should be more for fun with their vibrant, red colour, they were actually really good!

My fave three things about these are:

1. The Heat - They heat up seriously quickly and you can watch the temperature rise on the handle of the straighteners.

2. Diamond Technology - Ok, I'm not sure if this is as a result of the diamond or the ceramic technology or the nano technology or even the tourmaline technology... (Geez, there is a LOT of technology in these bad boys!!) but it promises on the box that you will have "frizz free hair" and I actually, really did!!?

3. The longer cord - A must have for any girl on the go as you never know where your nearest plug will be!

Although Irresistible Me are based in the US, their products have dual voltage so you don't need to worry about the power being weak or the heat not coming through on the plates. I bought a US to UK adapter for my straighteners and I think it was less than £10?

Have you heard of this brand before? Which are your fave straighteners?

OOTD: The Mermicorn Bomber

The Mermicorn Bomber Jacket from Rock On Ruby

Dear Blog readers, allow me to introduce you to The Mermicorn... She is Magical and Fierce.

This outfit is one that I wore when I headed down to London recently for the Open Door event with Not On The High Street. The event was held in the famous Spitalfields Market and was aimed at showcasing some of the amazing, creative independents that sell on the Not On The High Street site - and yup, our very own Rock On Ruby is one of them!

Weirdly, every time I head down South, the weather is beautiful, and this time was no different. Literally, the. hottest. day. of. the. year. Ergh!

Luckily my trusty old Topshop dress kept me cool, and my Mermazing bomber jacket from Rock On Ruby was the perfect lightweight cover up for on the train. This design is another of the fab illustrations created by the fab Dom and Ink for our Rock On Ruby range. I customised mine with the Magical and Fierce text on the front as I love positive, empowering statements.

FYI, these pumps are from Primark and are THE most comfiest pumps everrrr!
