#TakeTime

A few weeks ago I was invited down to London with Timex to celebrate 40 years of their classic, 'Easy Rider' watch. The event was incredible... Hosted at Beat LDN - an exclusive bar in South London, the venue was super chic & the perfect background for such an epic occasion. Images of guests and watches were projected onto the walls of the venue, cocktails were flowing and the boomerang-photobooth was just non-stop...

There was a whole array of watches on display and even 2 smart chaps customising the leather straps with guests initials. At the end of the night, we were whisked off for a luxurious stay at the super trendy Hoxton Hotel. It was the most fashionable 24 hours I've had in a long time! ;-) I have to say a big thank you to Timex for looking after us and also to Emma from theemasphere for being my blogger buddy for the night! (Give her a follow, her pics are stunning)

I've always been a big supporter of Timex, their watches are such good quality and have luxurious, timeless designs. I sometimes struggle with chunky watches at work as I spend most of my time typing at the computer - there's nothing worse than jewellery that catches on the desk!!. However, the leather strap of the Timex Easy Rider is so comfortable, and the gorgeous tan colour matches with most clothing.

Unfortunately, I had to dash off for a business meeting the morning after the event, so I missed out on brekky (Wahh!) but I did manage to snap some pics later that day with my #OOTD

You can just see my embossed initials on the strap of the watch - so cute! I absolutely love this as it is the first gift that I have received with my 'new' initials on since getting married :-)

Rock On Ruby Shoot Day

Ahhh my gosh, what a year!

I'm not gonna lie, I hate it when people start blog posts with 'so sorry I haven't posted in a while' but, this is one of those posts!! :-S My main excuse? Well, I did get married earlier this year so all that planning kind of took up a lot of brain power... But mainly, BIG things have been happening at work and we predict even more mega awesome stuff coming up over the next 12 months.

From launching our new website, to developing some new product ranges and working on some seriously cool collabs, Rock On Ruby has taken on a life of it's own and we're gearing up for another crazy-busy Christmas period (fingers crossed!)

So! I wanted to check in and show you what I've been up to this weekend, mainly working on some awesome street style pics with Gypsy Shrine make up artist and Rainbow Tribe owner, Hina. We spent the morning searching out some cool locations in Manchester with photographer, Jack Gracie - keep an eye put for the pics on our Rock On Ruby site and social channels VERY soon...!!

Outfit of the Day: As I knew we'd be 'pounding the pavements' and possibly getting rained on, I knew that my new Superga trainers would be the perfect footwear for the day. It was the first time that I had worn them, but they were SO comfy and the nude colour made a nice change from my usual white trainers. Red is going to be HUGE this A/W and to be honest, I just love this new design from our Fashion week collection (coming online this week!!)

We finished the day with some well deserved coffee and cake in Takk. And on the way home I past through the Makers Market in the Northern Quarter and bagged these delish cupcakes from Weenie Bakes - just LOOK AT THOSE TOPPINGS!!? WOW.

Outfit: Sweatshirt - Rock On Ruby, Mom Jeans - Topshop, Shirt (just seen) Zara, Trainers - Superga* at Cloggs

Hope you like this look - and a sneak peek into the our shoot day!

OOTD: The Mermicorn Bomber

The Mermicorn Bomber Jacket from Rock On Ruby

Dear Blog readers, allow me to introduce you to The Mermicorn... She is Magical and Fierce.

This outfit is one that I wore when I headed down to London recently for the Open Door event with Not On The High Street. The event was held in the famous Spitalfields Market and was aimed at showcasing some of the amazing, creative independents that sell on the Not On The High Street site - and yup, our very own Rock On Ruby is one of them!

Weirdly, every time I head down South, the weather is beautiful, and this time was no different. Literally, the. hottest. day. of. the. year. Ergh!

Luckily my trusty old Topshop dress kept me cool, and my Mermazing bomber jacket from Rock On Ruby was the perfect lightweight cover up for on the train. This design is another of the fab illustrations created by the fab Dom and Ink for our Rock On Ruby range. I customised mine with the Magical and Fierce text on the front as I love positive, empowering statements.

FYI, these pumps are from Primark and are THE most comfiest pumps everrrr!

OOTD: Bad Ass

Everything 5 Pound Bomber Jacket on Rock On Holly Fashion Blog

I've been holding onto these pics as I shot this look a few weeks ago (check out the blondey hair) and then had to delay posting it whilst we waited for stock to arrive.... But here it is, finally, in all it's BAD ASS glory! Yes, this outfit post showcases our brand new denim range on Rock On Ruby (my work - online this week!!) and how cool are these jeans??

They start at size 8, and I'm generally a 6 on the lower half, however, they fit fine around my waist and bum. The girls at work all have a pair and we do find that they fit true to size.

I went for the Bad Ass style as I liked the bold print and cheeky "ass" reference. However, as with all our clothing at work, you can also add the text of your choice to these jeans!

What would you have printed on yours?!

These is totally the kind of outfit that I'd wear for a few drinks or a meal at the weekend. The bomber jacket was a total bargain that I grabbed from Everything 5 Pounds before Christmas. Yes, it was £5. I LOVE that this has the letter 'A' on the front as I've been totally addicted to Pretty Little Liars recently!! Every time my boyfriend is at work and I have the house to myself, I'll stick on another cheesy episode. I'm just starting season 3 so no spoilers please...!!

OOTD: Awesome

Awesome Tribal Jumper on the Rock On Holly Fashion Blog

So, this outfit is the typical kind of thing that I would wear to work - and literally, as this is one of our very own Rock On Ruby sweaters!

As we moved into Spring this year, we launched a colourful, range of tribal inspired sweaters. We wanted to give the range a positive, empowering feel to it. So we incorporated key words like, BOSS, AWESOME and Who Run the World??

As soon as I saw the sample for the grey Awesome Sweater, I knew I had to blog it!! We normally print black text onto the grey tops, so the white is nice and fresh for SS16. Plus the neon accents are a great way of adding colour without being too OTT! I am wearing a size Medium for an extra slouchy look :-)

AND a little sneaky, preview for you here... I teamed my sweater with our very own Rock On Ruby jeans!! Eek! Yup, we're launching a denim range, so watch this space!!

OOTD: Hey Girl

Hey Girl Dom And Ink Sweater

Ok, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't struggling to keep up with my blog at the moment...

Work has just been craaazy since the start of November and after a 12 hour day, the last thing that you feel like doing is switching on a laptop and editing photos! However, luckily, I managed to combine my blogging with my work (running Rock On Ruby Clothing) to for a photoshoot showcasing our HOT NEW Dom and Ink Collection!! Yesssss!!!!

The new stuff is literally so, so cool! I probably have half of it in my wardobe!

So, I wanted to show how you don't always have to style a slogan sweater with jeans - why not funk it up a bit?! I teamed my Hey Girl Sweater with this gorgeous suede, vintage, tassled skirt. You will NEVER guess how much this was??

£5. Yes, £5. And it is such good quality!

It's from the website Everything5Pounds (great name) and I chose it after being invited to a blogger event with them a few weeks ago. I was so, so impressed with the quality of everything I received, I couldn't wait to put some of it to good use on our ROR shoot!
