Well, here she is... the light of my life! My Guiding Star!! I'd like to introduce you all to My Stylish Mum - Debs :-)
To celebrate Mother's Day, I teamed up with Daxon to give my mum a wardobe update and a mini makeover. When I lived at home, my mum was really involved with my blogging! She was basically my photographer and often location scout / stylist! So, it's really nice to see her on the other side of the camera for a change...
Deb's Style:
My mum loves trying out new trends and isn't afraid to wear colour or patterns. She loves a good colour blocking outfit! (We've actually had a few clashes in the past on how much orange is acceptable in one look...) However, when playing stylist for Debs for this makeover, I immediately knew that this textured cardigan by Balsamix would be a real handy item in her wardrobe. I love how she's mixed this up with the subtle prints on her scarf and striped tee.
The look is kept simple as it is based around navy and white, with orange being the key accent colour. However, this allows the textures of the scarf, cardigan and sporty, zipped handbag to really stand out.
This kind of outfit is perfect for heading out to the shops in, but could easily be dressed up with a pair of court shoes and replacing the scarf with a statement necklace.

We took these photos after heading into Selfridges for our makeovers! Mum was given gorgeously, glowing skin and a smokey eye from Mac Makeup. The perfect treat in the run up to Mother's day!
FYI: Debs was very impressed that all her Mac goodies fit inside her new white bag - super spacious!!
From looking at these pics, you would never know that my poor Mummy broke her hip before Christmas! So it really was extra nice to get out and have some girly fun for the day :-)
