Get ready to step into your dream wardrobe... What I am about to reveal to you is EVERYTHING that you could possibly want to wear this Spring / Summer - and the best bit? All of these pieces are available in your favourite high street stores! Manchester Arndale teamed up with fashion stylist Becky and pulled together items to create some totally on trend looks. They will be showcasing these in their Spring Summer Video, launching on March 30th...
But first, let's take a look at their wardrobe predictions:
TREND 1. KHAKI
Muted green tones, with aztec, tribal prints and a slight military feel.
This look works for day and night. Simply toughen up with a leather jacket in the day or a killer pair of heels for the evening!
Like Aladdin's Cave! There are some gorgeous, statement pieces in Manchester Arndale stores at the moment... From chunky, floral designs in New Look to tasseled detailing in River Island. There's an accessory to go with all of the trends shown here...
TREND 2. Pretty Pastels
Step into the Candy Shop!! Not just about lovely sorbet colours, this trend also focuses on texture and metallic finishes. Perfect for any upcoming Weddings or Summer BBQs!
Each trend that hit the set required a different hair and make up look... Luckily make up artist Jodie, was on hand to transform model Caroline!
Each look was tailored to the trend - from Farrah Fawcett waves with the 70s look, to a tousled up do for the florals look. Jodie creates a bold lip below using Mac Burgundy lip liner and a Lord & Berry lippy.
Stylist Becky, shows us one of her fave looks from the day.
TIP: Instead of trying to hide your underwear, incorporate it into your outfit! This lilac bra gives a lovely pop of colour under the white shirt without being too OTT.
I am in LOVE with this metallic pink backpack - and it's from New Look!
TREND 3. Florals
There's nothing of a "wall flower" about this trend! This look is all about bold prints and fresh colours. Becky, created an amaaazing head to toe floral look for the shoot - even the accessories were full of flowery fun!
TREND 4: 70s Style
My worry about this upcoming 70s trend is that it WILL NOT suit me!! But if you're a worrier like me, don't worry! Becky had some great tips to get yourself into the swing of things...
- Start small. Add an accessory rather than go for head to toe 70s style. A floppy hat or snake skin platforms will give you an instant wardrobe update. Switching your skinny's for flares is another simple option.
- Fringing, florals, tassels and flares are all totally 70s. But you don't need to wear them all at once! Pick the one you feel most comfortable with and work it!
TIP: Mix your trends! Suede, fringed heels - Khaki trend or 70s style? You decide!
Add metallics from the pastels trend into the Sports Luxe look (see below)
Model Caroline ready to hit the set!
I NEED these heels - find them in store at Dorothy Perkins! <3
Getting the finishing touch ups from MUA Jodie...
Trend 5: Sports Luxe
Think stretchy tube skirts with crop tops. Bold colours mixed with monochrome styling and trainer boots. Want to work it for night time? Just add sexy stilettos and a mini bag!
With my beaut, blogger buddy Irena from IrenaDWorld - check out her behind the scenes blog too!
