Last Thursday, London Fashion Week came to Manchester and I was super lucky to be on the FROW with Lauren from Fashion Panic at the Marks and Spencer Spring Summer collection. The show started with an introduction from the Style Director, Belinda Earl (the lady responsible for transforming M&S into the fashionable, profitable company it is today!). We then watched a short video on the upcoming trends featured in London Fashion Week - it was so cool!
And then the show began! It was split into 6 scenes, each with their own theme including:
Best of British - featuring UK made fabrics, these pieces featured a relaxed wardrobe with a white, grey, navy and primrose pallette.
Summer of Love - A fusion of relaxed tailoring and florals (very retro with a 70s vibe!)
Into The Blue - Denim and Blues, of course!
Uniformity - Sleek pieces with a "utility" feel. Simple and linear!
The Orient - Oriental prints mixed with a modern silhouette - so elegant.
Modern Romance - Heavy lace meets peek-a-boo sheers in a vivid feminine collision - my FAVE.
See if you can see which look fits which scene:
The whole show was amazing! And there are definitely a few things that I have my eye on - the lace co-ord in particular! Most items are in Marks and Spencer's stores now, or will arrive on 26th March.
I also have to point out the make up (done by Liz Martin at 18 Management) The models skin was so gorgeous and dewy - perfect for Summer!
Which look is your favourite?
Celeb spot: Did you see Gymnast Beth Twaddle and her ice skating partner on the FROW opposite me?!)
