Following the success of my last "Get The Look For Less" post with Burberry, here comes another designer inspired post filled with bargains for you to check out!
Miu Miu is a brand from the Prada fashion house known for its high fashion designs and accessories for women. Along with such accolades is usually a pretty steep price tag... (Eek!) Fortunately, this post is going to show you how to emulate an awesome Miu Miu look for much less. (Hurrah!) The featured outfit is great for chilly weather, with a pleated dress, cosy knit sweater, tartan handbag, round sunnies, and a pair of edgy combat boots! Recreate this ensemble and you’ll be well on your way to having one super-cute, super on-trend outfit that’s perfect for Autumn/Winter :-)
First up! This super cute pair of retro round sunglasses from Miu Miu, and they are, like Vogue says, back in a big way! But since the $390 price point can be a little steep for some of us... I’ve taken the liberty of finding you a more affordable pair from BP! For less than £10, these reasonably priced cuties on the right have the same retro-round feel with a tortoise shell finish. LOVE.
Next from Miu Miu, is this beautiful black pleated crepe dress with long sleeves. This is the perfect blank canvas for fall, which is why I thought it would look so good with a bit of a bad girl edge. At £1300 this dress is a tiiiny bit pricey, so I've provided this adorable long sleeve skater dress on the right from Brave Soul for you to consider instead! Priced at around £25, the second dress is an option that’s both similar and way more affordable.
Who doesn’t love to cuddle up with a soft knit sweater when it’s cold outside? Layer either of these grey cable-knit sweaters over top of the black dresses featured above for a cosy and casual look for fall and winter. On the left is the Miu Miu wool-blend sweater that retails for £480 and on the right is the “look for less” sweater from Tommy Hilfiger that retails for just £52. Bargain!!
So, to the accessories! First in line here is a Miu Miu tartan leather printed shoulder bag. This structured purse features great patterns and colours for A/W, but retails for £1300, which, for some (like me!) is out of the question. However, Kate Spade has a similar, red checked cross-body bag that’s absolutely adorable. And at just £80 or so, it’s also very attainable. Plus, cross-body bags are totally in, just check out Elle’s autumn/winter list of bags to own in 2015.
And last but not least are these edgy combat boots that are popping up everywhere, similar to those found in the combat boot roundup post from Lyst. They’re trendy, they’re warm, and they’re versatile—what more could you ask for? If the Miu Miu embellished toe combat boots at £1100 are out of your price range, then check out the beautiful Kelsi Dagger pair on the left. These bold Hoyt combat boots are well within reach this fall at just £117.
