Sale Picks - Topshop Jeans

Topshop Jeans

It's my FAVE time of year! Nope, not Christmas (although, obvs, that's up there) it's The Summer Sales!! Woop woop! Timed perfectly to start when actual Summer begins, and not when the shops think it should begin (who wants a bikini in March?!) I often pick up some of my best buys in the Summer Sales.

For example, check out my new jeans haul above. Each of these bad boys should have been at least £40 each, totalling a whopping £240. However, thanks to the Topshop sale, these 6 pairs set me back just £107. Ah-mazing! I've often declared my love for Topshop Mom jean and these gingham style jeans are a total bargain at £15. I know they will be fab with sliders and a simple, white cotton vest this Summer.

Apart from seasonal pieces like the Gingham pants, the sales are a great time to stock up on the classics that will work with your wardrobe all year round. The Leigh jeans (second from the top) are THE comfiest skinny jeans EVER!! If you can find a pair of these in your size, I would highly recommend these. The ankle length is very on trend right now.

A cool pair of black skinnies will never go out of fashion - I picked up the Baxter for my skinny jean fit and the Lucas for a more relaxed style (I love the distressed knees on these)

I've rounded up some of the big denim bargains below - which style would you go for?

Are you a fan of Topshop denim or do you have any other recommendations?

OOTD: Niagara Falls

If you follow me on instagram (Rock On Holly) you will have seen that this Christmas I jetted off to Toronto in Canada for New Years Eve. My boyfriend has family living over there so what better excuse to go?! We decided to be proper tourists and head over to Niagara falls, and I couldn't miss the opportunity to take some outfit shots in such a beautiful location...

Trapper Hat: Asos (similar) Sweater: Rock On Ruby, Shirt: Pull & Bear, Jeans: ASOS, Boots and Bag: Zara Boxing Day Sale!

My coat was also a bargain that I picked up in the River Island sale - the quilted padding and jersey cuffs kept me lovely and warm. I loved the fur trim (removable FYI!) and the belt really gave this shape - despite all my many layers!

I actually wanted to take a few outfit posts whilst I was away, but it was sooooo cold (-20 degrees!!) that nearly every photo is of me looking like I do above!! :-S If you are planning to go to Canada or somewhere similar soon, then here's a run down on what I wore on a typical day:

Bottom Half: Thermal tights, Jeans, Thick socks
Top Half: Thermal Vest, Long sleeved top, Jumper, Cardigan, Coat
Accessories: Fur Trapper Hat (essential) Ugg Gloves (the best) Snood thing? (from a previous Ski Holiday) Scarf

No joke.

Have you ever been any where as cold as Toronto in Winter? What were your essentials?!

No Shame in a Bar-Gain!

Fashion Rulez!

Hey Dolly Girls!

Don't you just hate it when you're flicking through your favourite fashion mag and you come across 'Fashion Rules'?! Erm, aren't Rules are for School, not fashion?!

Well get a load of this! One magazine (who shall not be shamed and named!!) said that as it is January we should all be wary shoppers... those devious SALE signs are everywhere and we must not get misled!! Shock Horror! We must all walk round with our eyes closed to avoid those (beautiful) neon Reduction stickers... Or! alternatively, follow some really dull fashion rules. Ew.

Now, this particular magazine had 2 Tips:

1. Buy style staples - everyone should have a White Shirt, a Black pair of trousers and an LBD.
2. Make a list of what you need and Stick To It!

Sensible right?

Well isn't sensible just another word for, boring?!

YES! Style staples are great, but when did they get so dull? Surely style staples nowadays are more likely to include a pair of jeans that flatter your bum and a leather jacket that makes you feel like Sandy in Grease?! (Post makeover of course)

And Making a list??! You can't plan a bargain people!!

Yes, I agreee that to be a Savvy Shopper it's not a good idea to blow all your money on one fabulous handbag - no matter how tempting it is!!

But my fashion motto is simple: Think Ahead.

Read around! If you're a dedicated follower of fashion you'll know which trends will be sticking around and where you should invest your money.

Topshop Elasticated Waist Shift Dress, £45

I got the Navy version of this little beauty in the Sale for £20!
So you can imagine my surprise (and delight!) when it appeared in store just a few weeks later back at its original price!!?

Navy and camel are THE colours of the season so I'll definitely be wearing mine with a chunky camel cardy for work and with super High Heels for night!

Camel Woven  Tassel Crepe Heel Loafers, £85
Another Sale Bargain that I picked up was this denim shirt from River Island for only £12:

Dark Wash Roll Sleeve Shirt, RRP £29.99

Again this will look great with that camel colour for this seasons 70's theme trend!

To try and save some pennies I am currently in the midst of a self-inflicted 'Buying Ban'! :-O
It's painful but I'm determined to do it.... I'll keep you updated on how I'll be using bits and pieces from my current wardrobe to stay fashionably fab!

Happy Bargain Hunting Daydreamers! xx
