Recently, the girls at work got invited to a charity event where the dresscode was red. Great idea, right? The aim was to wear something, even if just an accessory, to go with the theme. However, I was surprised that once they had received the invites, ALL of the girls jumped online in the search for something to wear as they didn't have anything colour-appropriate already!
Red... It can be seen to be a hard colour to wear as it's very bold and certainly makes a statement - but look at the dresses above?! Don't you just suddenly want to throw out every single monochrome piece in your wardrobe? I've put together 3 looks to wear to a Wedding, a Party and for every day!
Now I must apologise to my mum as I have often berated her for wearing all one colour and yet I have deliberately included red shoes and accessories to really go for H to T red... Looks like colour blocking is making a comeback! (sorry mum!)
What do you think?
From Left to Right
Look 1: Jolie Moi Crochet Dress with Anna Field Red High Heeled Sandals and Brontibay Clutch Bag
Look 2: BCB Generation Dress with Red Buffalo Sandals
Look 3: Uniqlo Long sleeve red silk dress with Michael Kors bag and Mellow Yellow leather flats
My absolute fave look is number 3! This beautiful printed dress is actually pure silk and is currently on sale for £29.50!! (Race you to the checkout). I would totally wear this to work in Summer and then dress it up with some killer heels for night time.
