Guess how much this maxi dress was?? £16 from ASOS! And that's with free delivery baby! Woop! This is the perfect kind of thing to be wearing during this crazy Indian Summer that we seem to be having... And also perfect for my festival day out at On Blackheath!
The strappy neckline makes the dress feel a bit "dressier" (like smarter, not literally more like a dress!) and I love the mix of floral prints.
I teamed this with some chain necklaces from good old Dorothy Perkins (thanks Mum) and my River Island snake skin boots (that you may be seeing a lot of in the coming months. Apologies in advance) I like that the dress teamed with the boots gave it more of an 80s, grunge style - fab for a festival.
To stop the outfit from looking too drab, I teamed the dress with this fabulously fringed jacket from Boohoo. I've never really shopped at Boohoo before, but I had a voucher to spend and this little beaut was my pick! I was a tiny bit worried... because you know when you love something but it's not really your size, but then you go ahead and buy it anyway? Well, I did that. And actually thank the Lord I did, because it's just gorge and fits fine! This is a size 6! So I might not be able to get a big woolly jumper underneath come Winter time, but it's perfect for now :-)
Also, I turned up and beaut blogger Anoushka had a very similar jacket on but in tan!? So I knew I was onto a good thing...
Outfit: Maxi dress - ASOS, Snakeskin Ankle Boots - River Island, Red fringe jacket - Boohoo*
Accessories: Buckle Cuff - Reiss via Fashionchick*, Allie Shoulder Bag - Nica Handbags, Necklaces - Dorothy Perkins (Similar)
As you know, I'm "bag-sessed" (obsessed with bags) and this black "Allie" handbag from Nica with pony skin detail, is absolutely stunning.
So there you go, 3 very handy items for transitional dressing - Maxi Dress, Suede fringed jacket and ankle boots.
What are your top items for A/W dressing at the moment?!
