On Blackheath Festival #CarriedByNica

On Blackheath Festival With Nica

Have you heard of On Blackheath Festival before? I have to be honest, it wasn't on my radar until a couple of weeks ago when I was invited down for the weekend with Nica Handbags. But a quick google soon revealed that this was going to be AWESOME! A mix of music, food and live arts, with acts like Elbow and Madness as headliners. The perfect backdrop for showcasing some of Nica's latest designs...

I have a big love for Nica handbags after meeting the lady herself on a recent trip to London and as a result, already have the Tary backpack. This has been a firm favourite of mine since I got it. I love the design, but it's also amazingly spacious - and when going to a festival, you need to be prepared for all kinds of eventualities (and weather...) So this of course came with me to On Blackheath, however, I did get a chance to see some of other style bags and fell in love with the Penny Backpack!

Plus who could resist the monochrome clutch below?

I spent the weekend with the beautiful blogger Anoushka. We were so lucky that the weather was actually amazingly gorgeous, and we made the most of the colourful festival backdrop to get some good blog shots - watch out for some transitional styling in my next couple of posts!

As the festival was sponsored by John Lewis, the food was unbelievably good. There was a whole stage set up with food demonstrations and live cooking! Another area was filled with John Lewis deck chairs and ice cream... But my favourite bit was the food vans that all had a variety of fresh, organic foods - I headed straight to the Smokehouse for a Pulled Pork bun. So so good!!

We got to see some amazing music, like Jack Savoretti, Laura Mvula, Kelis, etc, but the highlight of the day was getting to see Elbow headline. The guys were amazing and their song "One Day Like This" is one of my faves!

Massive thanks to Nica Handbags for a fab day On Blackheath.
