Recently, I was invited to a stunning event at Hancocks Jewellers, on Manchester's exclusive King Street... Now, despite the fact that this is right near one of my fave shops (Jack Wills!!) I hadn't ever set foot inside Hancocks. Mainly because this is the kind of place that has it's own security guard for Christ sake! No way, I could ever afford anything from there..Right?! How WRONG I was!
Yes, Hancocks, do have some of THE. MOST. GORGEOUS diamonds I have ever seen, but they also stock some well known brands like the beautifully modern range by Georg Jenson. Myself and a few other chosen bloggers were invited in for an afternoon of champers, sparkle and a history of diamonds...
As we arrived we were greeted by the super chic Rosemary, who is a Jewellery EXPERT. (Ask her anything about the Crown Jewels, I dare you). We were given a brief history on how the company started and it was so interesting to hear about the care and commitment that goes into looking after the Hancock pieces. Many of the diamonds in Hancocks are unique and individually sourced - perfect for a special occasion like a Wedding!
The Yellow Diamond ring. This beaut was my all time FAVE. If I ever marry a millionaire, THIS is exactly how I want my ring to be! Haha! It's something that you'd imagine "Andie Anderson" from How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days to wear - just need the dress to match now... (And a spare £100K!)
I wasn't sure what to expect from the event, but the staff were absolutely lovely and knew EVERYTHING there was to know about their jewellery. It was SO interesting to hear about the history behind the brand and some of the Proposal stories!
Unfortunately for me, Hancocks do have a strict privacy policy, so I couldn't get any juicy goss on which celebrities had been in store... But I did try! ;-)
Which is your fave piece from the sparkly beauties above?!
Ah yes I can so imagine that ring going perfectly with the dress from How to Lose a Guy in 10 days!! (on that note, I'm really craving seeing that film again... I might watch it tonight!) I was gutted I couldn't make this event, it looks like it was full of sparkle and beautifulness!
