In the Diary - Tea, Heroes and FCBN

Fashionchick Event

Well what a month!

The past few weeks have been crazy busy so I'm adding a new slot to the blog called In The Diary to round up some of the exciting things that I've been up to, including Blogger Events and launches that I think you'll want to know about...

First up! The Fashionchick Blogger Network Launch Party.

This has literally been the highlight of my month! I am sooooo pleased to have been asked to be involved in the launch of the Fashionchick blogger network. Myself and 19 of the hottest bloggers in the UK right now will be working with Fashionchick to bring you the latest pieces from their site. We'll be styling up outfits and also contributing to their NEW online magazine - Define. I know that I briefly mentioned this on my In The Jungle outfit post, but here's all the deets!

Fashionchick's website is set up to allow you to browse all of your fave brands in one place. So rather than jumping from site to site and having lots of items saved all over the place, you can head straight to Fashionchick! Brands include Boohoo, House of Fraser, Dorothy Perkins and more... They have regular style inspo updates, fashion news and my favourite thing ever  - The Outfit Creator. You'll be seeing lots of outfit posts inspired by Fashionchick coming up on my blog so keep an eye out for these!

At the launch party we were also introduced to the NEW Fashionchick app called Swipe and Shop. Basically Tinder for clothes - this thing is addictive!! Download it for free and let me know what you think in the comments below...

Superhero Day with Key 103

Next up, Superhero Day!!

I was invited down to THE COOLEST offices in Manchester - UKFast to be a sparkly Superhero for  one night only! This place was immense, from a life sized chess set in Reception to a bridge over an inside pond that leads to a little seating area with TWITTER cushions!!? Ah-mazing. But amongst the Superhero makeovers, hero cupcakes and fancy dress costumes, the aim behind the event was to promote Superhero day which is happening in the North West this May 15th!

The team at Key 103 want to to show how every day people can become Superheroes and that even just a small amount of money can help local children. The charity being supported from this years fundraising is Beechwood Cancer Care - an amazing centre which helps children who have been told that their parents or relations are suffering from cancer.

Get involved!! Show your support by tweeting a "Superhero Selfie" using the #KeyHero and texting 70070 to give a £5 donation.

Key103 are hoping to get over 100,000 selfies to beat the current World Record and already have the support of celebs like Phil Neville and his wife, Apprentice Contestant Neil, the Key 103 presenters Mike and Chelsea - and of course, me! ;-)

Afternoon tea Arcadia Social

Afternoon Tea with Arcadia Social

I can't think of a more perfect afternoon than this one! It was a real treat to be invited to hang out with the team from Arcadia Social at none other than the glam Malmaison Hotel in Manchester. Surrounded by plates of tasty sandwiches, tea and scones, we discussed their upcoming fashion drops, goggle box and more...

So what will you be rocking over the next few months? Ear cuffs are going to be huge! You can see one of my fave Topshop Earcuffs in my Into The Jungle Post. Also, statement necklaces are still bang on trend. I love the new Dorothy Perkins styles as seen in my Charlotte Tilbury Makeover post! Keep an eye out for some blingy earrings and floral rings in some of my upcoming blog posts too...

In all honesty, we did spend far too much time eating and chatting, so I really didn't get too many pics form the day! But the team at Arcadia are brill - I'd really recommend that you follow their Arcadia Social accounts on instagram and Twitter to be the first to see what's happening in your fave Arcadia stores!
