Now that we're kinda, getting into the warmer weather, I'm thinking it's nice to go for more of a relaxed feel with my outfits... There's nothing worse than sitting in the office, sweating in a pair of tight jeans! With this in mind, I picked up this outfit from my session in the new River Island Style Studio! This looks combines 3 of the main trends from this Spring Summer:
1. KHAKI - These khaki trousers were a tiny bit pricier than a normal pair of RI jeans (£40) however, I have already worn these loads, so price-per-wear, they are a total bargain! I love the elasticated wasitband and cuffs on these - I will definitely be dressing these up with a pair of heels on Summer nights.
2. The Split Side Tee: The main piece that really brings this look into SS15 is this Split Side Tee! I have seen quite a few bloggers in these tees and I love seeing how different people wear them in different ways. FYI - also available in grey and white!
3. Gladiator Sandals: Another style that's going to be HUGE this Summer, is strappy gladiator sandals and tie up shoes. I picked up this pair from Primark last year (I love it when styles carry through from one year to the next, makes me feel ahead of the trends!!) Primark's shoes this year are to DIE FOR! I shared a picture of some Primark Tie Up Heels on instagram a few weeks ago, and it's probably one of my most liked pics to date! Get yourself in store now...

This Reiss Bangle goes perfectly with the military, urban feel of this look. The weaved leather bracelet* combined with the chunky silver fastening toughen up my outfit without looking too heavy. I have ALWAYS wanted one of these bangles after my mum got one for her birthday one year. I thought it was the ultimate in luxury and I'm so please that I have once in black now - thanks to the guys at Fashionchick UK! This will be appearing in a few upcoming posts, so do keep an eye out...
You may also recognise my Folli Follie necklace from my style challenge a few weeks ago - I'm obsessed with this!
What's your go to look for Summer? Do you think you would wear a Split Side Tee?
Ohh I do love this style of tee. But they do scare me, think its the stomach showing off phobia haha.

Ive literally just ordered my first side split tee right before I read this! Great minds hehe. I'm really liking this colour palette, I'm totally gravitating towards darker colours now it's sunny (weird right!) I also took a winter t shirt dress and unpicked the seems in a lil DIY project which looks really cool xx
ReplyDeleteThose pants look really comfortable! I like the green and the black together too :)
ReplyDeleteYour necklace is the perfect pieces to wear with the tee :)
